As a Teacher, you will provide educational instruction to students within your assigned age group or subject area.
Essential Functions:
- Plan and deliver effective educational instruction tailored to meet the needs of students using proven methodologies.
- Conduct research and stay current with professional literature relevant to your teaching assignment.
- Administer assessments that are research-based and appropriate for your students, providing constructive feedback and re-teaching as needed to ensure mastery.
- Collaborate closely with parents/guardians and fellow educators to support student development and success.
- Implement the approved curriculum and make necessary modifications to students' education plans.
- Complete written reports and administrative tasks related to your teaching responsibilities.
- Utilize preventive discipline techniques to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Demonstrate adherence to the Imagine Schools Non-Profit Six Measures of Excellence in all aspects of your work.
- Model positive character traits and mentor students in developing strong moral and performance attributes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or School Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Licenses & Certifications: State certification and endorsement in your assigned teaching area.
- Experience: Prior teaching experience required for certification.
Knowledge, Ability & Skills:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with student learning styles and application of educational theory in practice.
- Knowledge of federal and state educational regulations and statutes.
- Capacity to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents in a multicultural setting.
- Proficiency in word processing, database management, spreadsheet, and graphic software applications.
