Associate Research Scientist
12 months contract (Possible Extension)
Must Have List:
-Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
-Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including expertise in aseptic technique, culture optimization, cell counting, cryopreservation, and validation methods.
-Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and a range of biology skill sets including in vitro cell assay development, plate-based assays, Western blotting, protein quantification, ELISA, MSD, transfections, lentiviral transductions, siRNA/shRNA/CRISPR, qPCR, and viability assays.
Job Responsibilities include:
• Working both independently and collaboratively to support cutting-edge Oncology drug discovery biology programs.
• Develop and execute mechanistic in vitro cellular assays to characterize mechanism of action of Client compounds.
• Cell culture maintenance, cryopreservation, validation, and inventory management.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of protocols and experimental results.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other team members to advance programs.
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data in team meetings.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including expertise in aseptic technique, culture optimization, cell counting, cryopreservation, and validation methods.
• Experience in managing or supporting cell banking, and familiarity with databases such as Mosaic, would be a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and a range of biology skill sets including in vitro cell assay development, plate-based assays, Western blotting, protein quantification, ELISA, MSD, transfections, lentiviral transductions, siRNA/shRNA/CRISPR, qPCR, and viability assays.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional collaborative team.
• Strong proficiency in workload planning, prioritization, organization, time management, meticulous attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
• Experience utilizing electronic notebooks is preferred, and basic proficiency in Client Office is required.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, eager to develop new skills, and possesses a positive attitude.
