About the Job
Duties:
The main responsibility of this position is to provide expertise and knowledge in the area of biophysics, with a particular focus on BLI and SPR for screening and characterization of binding kinetics.
Performs experiments that contribute to core group/research goals and reflect expert knowledge in the area of kinetic analysis related to the development of biological drugs. This individual will provide technical insight and support to multiple project teams.
Demonstrates the ability to interpret the outcome of experiments, propose appropriate follow-up investigation. Independently communicates own work effectively orally and in writing; contributes to writing protocols, procedures, and technical reports
Automate processing and results reporting and delivery. Reports and treats data with a high level of integrity and ethics. Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies
Skills:
Provide and apply expertise in BLI and SPR techniques
Maintains scientific excellence in area of protein biochemistry
Ability to multi-task and organize multiple experiments simultaneously
Ability to perform as a team member essential
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in an inter disciplinary environment
Must be highly motivated and an independent performer
Experience with multiple biosensor platforms is highly advantageous. Experience with Biotherapeutics and a good understanding of drug discovery is considered a plus.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative environment; Ability to troubleshoot both individually and as part of a team
