Precision Medicine Pathology
- The Precision Medicine Pathology team drives the scientific strategy for translational tissue-based biomarker development & discovery target validation/MOA projects, leads pathology collaborative programs, conducts histopathological evaluation & analysis of IHC & other tissue-based studies, and provides technical/scientific leadership to histotechnicians& pathology scientists.
- In this role, you will be supporting a variety of studies using multiplex immunofluorescence assays. You must be able to conceive and implement multiplex IF assays to answer scientific questions.
Responsibilities:
Designing, developing and validating multiplex immunofluorescence panels using OPAL or similar technologies.
- Designing an mIF panel with consideration of biologic & technical factors
- Developing & optimizing the mIF panel
- Scanning mIF slides using PhenoImager HT
- Spectral unmixing using inForm
- Digital pathology analysis using Halo or VisioPharm
- Expected to make significant contributions to project team through lab-based activities
- Highly autonomous and productive in performing laboratory research or method development
- Formulate conclusions and design follow-on experiments based on multidisciplinary data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science related field with 5+ years of related work; Master's Degree Science with 10+ years of related work.
- Close familiarity with the principles of tissue microscopic anatomy/histology including knowledge of pathological alterations in disease and experience working in collaboration with trained pathologists is preferred.
- Extended experience in designing, developing & validating multiplex mIF assays using OPAL or similar technologies, as well as scanning the mIGF stained slides & spectral unmixing using inForm.
- Experience in digital image analysis using Halo or VisioPharm.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required including the demonstrated ability to effectively and clearly summarize results for presentation and report generation
- Strong motivation, attention to detail, ability to think independently and fully integrate into a high achieving team environment
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
