Scientist, Infrared Electro-Optics - Advanced Technology and Research Corporation

Salary Range: 80,000-120,000.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site involved in execution of the emergent Infrared and Electro Optics (IREO) technology for the Navy. Other duties include, but not limited to:

• Perform IREO system design, integration and development for naval ships and systems
• Perform field testing, data acquisition and data QA
• Perform data processing and analysis and prepare reports
• Perform IREO signature predictions and conduct mitigation analysis.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Bachelor degree in engineering, physics or mathematics
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• 2-3 years of data processing and analysis experience desired
• Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to conduct data acquisition and QA
• Ability to perform data processing and analysis
• Efficient with using and programming in MATLAB
• Strong background in physics and engineering
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to travel and support physical activities.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current completion of a successful background investigation is a plus.
