Scientist, Sample Management - Kaztronix

Laboratory and sample inventory management. Organize, sort, and inventory sample collections and assist in vessel reformatting process which will include manual pipette and liquid handling automation operation. Direct communication with internal customers and assist with lab deliverables. The candidate will work in a highly interactive organization.

Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job

• Organization of physical sample and lab consumables inventory
• Manual manipulation of vessels with caps, plates with cap mats and seals, latch racks
• Organization and record keeping
• Data entry and review utilizing Excel
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Effectively communicate project status to project team members

Minimum Requirements

• AS (or equivalent laboratory experience) in Biology/Chemistry/Life Sciences, compound management/sample logistics experience desirable.
• Working knowledge of technologies commonly used in a laboratory setting, liquid handling automation experience desirable
• Comfortable with working in proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, gloves, lab coat)
• Excellent computer skills.
• The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, and work productively in teams as well as independently.
