Lynntech, Inc., a rapidly growing technology development company specializing in transitioning innovative ideas and concepts into marketable technologies, is seeking highly motivated, creative researchers for our team-driven work environment. We currently have exciting opportunities for a Full-Time Scientist with a background in Optical Spectroscopy, Imaging, Lasers, and/or Prototype Imaging Systems. Work is conducted on-site; schedule is 40 hrs/week, flexible within standard business hours. Work could begin as early as July 2024, but the posting will remain open until the position has been filled.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist with preparation of grant applications
- Oversee and assist with overseeing technical projects
- Work with multi-disciplinary teams to advance technology
- Interact with customers and collaborators to advance technology
- Manage financial budgets and resources relevant to assigned project(s)
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in relevant fields of development
Required Skills and Education:
- PhD., degree in applied physics, engineering, optics, spectroscopy, or a related field
- Ability to design and carry out experiments
- Data management and technical reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to interact with scientists and researchers from other disciplines
- Excellent organizational and data management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing capabilities
Desired Experience:
- 1-3 years of postdoctoral experience (industrial/academic) and/or professional experience.
- Experience in proposal writing, grantsmanship, and project oversight.
- Experience in one or more of the following fields:
- Electronic structure / bandgap engineering
- Taggants
- Sensing
- Physical
- Chemical
- Biological
- Imaging
- Optical Metamaterials
- Tunable nanostructured materials
- Coatings and interfaces
- Rational design of advanced/functional materials
- Scientific computing
- Modeling and simulation
- Data science
- Scientific machine learning
- Optical or optoelectrical component design
- Design and construction of prototype optical measurement systems
