Screw Machine Operator at Manpower

Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Screw Machine Operator to join their team. As a Screw Machine Operator, you will be part of the Screw Department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience in a manufacturing background.

Job Title: Screw Machine Operator

Location: Hamilton, OH

Pay Range: Starting Pay Rate: $18.00

What's the Job?

• Perform machine setup and run Acme and Davenport screw machines
• Responsible for operation of screw machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine
• Perform setup on screw machines; including, tooling changes, tool sharpening, and tool adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications
• Conformance with quality specifications
• Assist other operators in performing tool changes, trouble shooting, and maintenance activities
• Assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines

What's Needed?

• Relevant work experience; maintenance, mechanic, automotive mechanic, or trade school completion
• Perform standard math add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Mechanically inclined Individual needs to be good with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixings things both familiar and unfamiliar
• Perform standard math Individual needs to able to perform standard math to effectively make machine adjustments
• Reasoning ability Ability to think, reflect, and make decision to overcome obstacles
