Job Title: Scrum Master
Remote, but must be able to commute to Dover, NH

Description:
We are looking for an senior level scrum master who can join our team ASAP delivering insurance product innovations. We build engaging digital services and capabilities with autonomy to experiment with customer experiences under a brand called Certainly. Innovation drives the experiences we deliver to grow the Certainly brand and adopt winning features into core Client. You will team up with amazing engineers who are passionate about the unique value proposition of Certainly.
Overview:
- Prior insurance industry experience is always a plus
- Prior exposure to agile methodologies as this will be a startup type environment
- Collaborative leader
- Must have software: Jira, confluence, slack
Core responsibilities include:
Lead scrum teams in using Agile methodology and scrum practices. Current teams do not have a dedicated scrum master and need an emphasis on:
Coaching on Agile development (since teams are relatively new to Agile)
Backlog creation and refinement
Metrics (cycle/lead times, burn-up/burn-down, deploy frequency, etc.)
Lead team ceremonies (sprint stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, etc.)
Helping the product owner and development team to achieve KPI/OKRs, PI and Sprint Objectives, with an emphasis on:
Delivering on new product launches, experiments and feature delivery, while contributing to Platform (DevOps Pipeline, AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Quality Engineering) enhancements
Lead the scrum teams in self-organization. With the upcoming doubling of the organization size, there is an emphasis on:
Forming and norming new teams, or helping to scale up existing partial squads to full squads
Working collaboratively with offshore (Belfast, UK) scrum master who is performing the same functions with Belfast-based teams
Working collaboratively with Senior Scrum Master who is supporting the full train
