What You'll Get to Do:
- Lead all project ceremonies
- Lead daily scrum calls and work with team to determine what is actively being worked on and if anything is impeding progress
- Facilitate planning meeting to get agreement and confidence for the team that the correct stories are in the planned sprint and that all stories meet the definition of ready
- Help team prepare for sprint reviews to demo progress throughout the product increment and develop an agenda for these meetings.
- Create fun and creative retrospectives to keep the meetings engaging and drive continuous improvement
- Lead backlog refinement meetings to validate the stories in upcoming sprints have the details that are required and that stories are in the correct priority.
- Lead team PI planning (Big Room planning) sessions and work with other teams to identify and track dependencies
- Prepare team for deployments by validating all prerequisites have been documents and all relevant parties are aware of your deployment plan.
- Escalate team issues to and resolve in timely
- Participate in requirements and design discussions with project stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project budget and forecast
- Assess and manage project risks and issues
- Work with team to develop Objectives and Key Results quarterly and track that the team is on track to meet the goals.
- Must have previous experience as a Scrum Master
- Ability to lead these meetings remotely using Jira, Microsoft Teams, Mural, etc.
- Experience in the financial (mortgage) technology space and its associated regulations
- Knowledge of loan life cycle
- A well-defined track record of releasing successful product on a frequent basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to clearly articulate findings and concepts that support the problem you are trying to solve
- Understanding of technologies such as AWS cloud infrastructure and services, Mongo DB, Angular, Spring Boot.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence (creating/maintaining dashboards, tracking metrics, utilizing data to make meaningful changes to team to improve performance)
