This role is Hybrid onsite starting in the Mundelein, IL location and will relocate/report into the Northbrook, IL location in the future.Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Lead medium to large projects/programs of work within complex and fast-paced organizations, using varying delivery models (Scrum, Kanban). Ensure the team is agile by clearing obstacles, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, addressing team dynamics, ensuring a good relationship between the team and product owner as well as others outside the team and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate Scrum meetings. This includes daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, scrum of scrum, and team retrospective ceremonies.
- Promote Team collaboration, track and communicate team velocity, burndown, and sprint progress.
- Communicate project status and risks to leadership.
- Support the product owner by maintaining the Scrub/Kanban board and assist in dependency management and cross-team coordination.
- Partner with Product Owners and team members to learn and practice healthy backlog management and prioritization practices. Focus delivery on the customer value stream.
- Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
- Support the Product Team by mentoring the product owners and team members in agile practices, facilitating continuous improvement and the development of a learning culture on teams and facilitating conflict resolution and remove team impediments.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Work Experience
- At least 4 years of direct work experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong experience with sprint planning, facilitating daily stand-ups, leading scrum ceremonies, and backlog grooming.
- Ability to maintain the Scrum/Kanban board.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
ADDITIONAL/NICE TO HAVE JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience supporting warehouse management or logistics projects
- 8 years of Scrum experience
- Experience running large scale projects
- Experience working in an enterprise level environment
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Certification / Licensure - Scrum Master Certification
