Job Requirement:
Scrum Master Advisor DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching a team about agile scrum to delivering successful deliverables. This key resource will be leading a new team in supporting modernization of existing business and technical systems through the development life cycle.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Seasoned technology contributor with strong working knowledge with various industry technologies
• Successful Scrum Master must be able to meet all deadlines and move team along
• Understands concepts of software application solutions approaches
• Requires software application development work setting and has led teams like this before
• Previous experience as a team lead
• Familiar with Agile Scrum based Software development, Hybrid Agile based module development along with cross functional communication, software technical project management, requirements traceability, source code control, test case management and defect tracking
• Doing everything possible to ensure delighting customers
• Guiding the team and supporting organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
• Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
• Experience in Agile Kanban approaches
• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
• Facilitates getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
• Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
• Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog
• Providing all support to the team and leading by example
• Scrum master is responsible to facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
• Possesses conflict resolution and ability to forecast numbers of deliverables possible in iteration, through based evidence and reliable source.
• Needs to be expert in estimation and planning. He knows how to create useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects.
• Should be a good coach in Agile practices. S/he can coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
• Help team or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
• Ability to shield his team from outside distractions and interferences.
• Ability to ensure the correct use of scrum process.
• Ability to track and remove impediments.
• Scrum master is a servant first, who serves his team members before considering about himself EDUCATION: Requires a BA/BS in Information Systems or Computer Science or other related field; 4 or more years related experience; software experience; expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
EXPERIENCE:
• Fundamental technical business and application development skills
• Demonstrable experience of Scrum Management
• Agile Experience
• Planning Experience
• Stakeholder Management, Negotiation & Communication Skills
• JIRA/Confluence experience
• Knowledge of technical tools used to develop business process models, including root cause analysis.
• Skill in using MS Office Suite
• Experience in Agile Kanban approaches • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
• Familiar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices. • Strong communication skills
