A top Fortune 50 Financial client is seeking a Scrum Master to join their team in a dynamic environment. This role is pivotal in fostering agile practices and ensuring the team delivers on key initiatives.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid to HQ in Vienna, VA.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (EST core hours)
Setting: Collaborative team-oriented atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
The Scrum Master will be responsible for:
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Scrum practices
- Removing impediments to progress and promoting continuous improvement within the team
- Collaborating with the Product Owner to clarify and prioritize the product backlog
- Engaging with stakeholders to align on project goals and deliverables
Mentoring junior staff on agile methodologies and best practices
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development and system administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on strategic planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
Advanced Degree in a relevant field
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI-ACP certification
- Experience in Project Management, particularly in Agile environments
- Familiarity with cloud applications such as Azure and Data Bricks
