SUMMARY:
Ignite curiosity as an Arizona Science Center Guest Sales & Services team member for a specialty event this fall at the Arizona State Fair! As a seasonal Guest Sales & Services Associate, you will enthusiastically provide guests with information about Arizona Science Center’s mission and events it’s hosting and welcome guests into our brand new exhibition, Pumpkinferno! Onsite at the Arizona State Fair, Pumpkinferno features thousands of hand-carved artificial pumpkins set in artistic and fascinating displays intended for night viewing. It is an immersive walk-through experience incorporating themed lighting and audio soundscapes. In this role, you will handle guest admissions and retail sales, including memberships, and promote attendance at Arizona Science Center to achieve specific sales goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly demeanor at all times to guests of all ages
- Success working with/in a team and independently
- Utilize all relevant sales techniques and tools at all opportunities to drive profitable growth
- Knowledge of the levels of membership the Science Center has to offer with benefits
- Must be familiar with and be able to enthusiastically explain and sell all current attractions and upcoming events
- Must be accurate and prompt in handling financial admission transactions and reporting
- When necessary, escalate issues through the appropriate channels to ensure a prompt and satisfactory resolution to the guest and the Arizona Science Center
- Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor
