About The Adjutant General's Office :
The Adjutant General’s Office (AGO) provides a dynamic workplace while serving the Indiana National Guard at its various facilities throughout the state. Role Overview:
This position provides assistance and support to carpenter, electrician, lineman, HVAC mechanic, painters, and the operations department at the apprentice level. The position performs preventive maintenance, repair, and minor construction tasks on the facilities, equipment and systems, roads and grounds of the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position is $13.00 - $17.00 per hour depending on qualifications, limited to working 180 calendar days.
A Day in the Life:
You will perform a wide variety of labor oriented duties as required to maintain the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center grounds and facilities. Examples of types of work may include, but are not limited to:
+ Performing road surface repairs
+ Operating and maintain small and large equipment with moderate training, operating hand tools and equipment
+ Janitorial duties
+ Maintaining building and grounds, mowing grass, trimming hedges, snow removal
+ Assisting in performing maintenance activities: painting walls, ceilings, curbs, cross walks, signs, and traffic control lines
+ Assisting in powerhouse functions, warehouse operations, water and sewage plant operations, fleet repairs
+ Performing other labor related work as assigned
What You'll Need for Success:
+ Valid high school diploma or HSE
+ One (1) year of work experience.
+ Must have and maintain valid Indiana Drivers License.
+ Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and correlate technical materials
+ Ability to maintain cooperative work relationships;
+ Ability to develop and maintain effective, cooperative and productive work relationships;
+ Working knowledge of Basic English, written and spoken, and correct grammar and spelling;
+ Ability to use office equipment such as computer with excel/word, fax, multiline phone, and copier.
