HIRING ASAP - General Laborers needed for upcoming harvest season....... Louis Dreyfus Grain Elevator in Port Allen, La

*Must have a valid TWIC card

*Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

*Shift work is required

Assisting in the offloading of grain coming in to the Port of Baton Rouge. Keeping work area safe, clean. Duties will include pressure washing, sweeping, and general housekeeping duties.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION ONLY!! This position will last as long as harvest season is active - harvest season typically lasts through the end of November/December

** Must be available to work 6 days a week - schedule is broken down into 2 shifts - 7am-3:30 pm OR 2:30pm-11pm. Off day will be determined by site supervisor.

*Overtime paid after 40 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

General housekeeping and disposal of scrap material at various locations within the facility by using hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, brooms and come-a-longs. Removal of debris by using pressurized air guns, pressure washer and water hoses. Assisting with operation of vacuum truck. Assist Louis Dreyfus Houseman with offloading of dust trucks. Also, the unloading of grain trucks by guiding driver and opening and closing of grain hopper.
