A day on the job as a Seasonal Warehouse Shipping Clerk:
As a Warehouse Shipping Clerk you will be responsible for picking sales orders, packing sales orders, restocking inventory, restocking supplies, and loading pallets with daily outbound shipments. You will also be responsible to use pallet jacks to move inventory, the Raymond Joey for various warehouse tasks, assist delivery and pickup drivers with shipments, assist the inventory team with counts, maintaining the cleanliness, organization, security, and safety of the warehouse at all times, and carry out any other duties as assigned.
Work schedule:
Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30pm
The Warehouse Material Handling Clerk is a seasonal position for a period of up to 6 months and employment may be terminated during that time. There is a possibility that the position may become permanent depending upon company need and job performance.
This job may be for you if you have:
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus
- Ability to accurately and consistently operate the scanner
- Previous forklift experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Basic math skills such as adding and subtracting
- Familiarity with computers and Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required
Physical requirements:
- Can lift, carry, and load items up to 50 lbs.
- Are capable of walking distances across the facility
- Have the physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Can walk, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
