Position Summary
Supervise and direct activities for production departments in accordance with established company goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. The position is directly accountable and responsible for all facets of production as they relate to meeting company objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General responsibilities include managing the attainment of business objectives relating to profit, delivery/service, asset utilization, and growth.
- The leadership, motivation, coaching, team building, and empowerment of your team.
- Managing the attainment of business objectives relating to profit, delivery/service, asset utilization, and growth.
- Team member performance evaluation, development, career planning and wage plan administration.
- Schedule all team members to achieve daily production schedule. Day By the Hour reports checked hourly to ensure tracking to schedule.
- Accurately complete necessary paperwork (i.e. data collection, time approvals, attendance, PTO requests)
- Establish operating procedures as they relate to department processes and procedures. Follow Quality Manual Procedures and practices.
- Able to use inventory system to locate product and material as needed to support material handlers.
- Facilitate continuous improvement: save labor, reduce scrap, reduce indirect time, increase throughput, and improve products.
- Active in many of the company improvement teams and major company projects.
- Ensure health and safety is practiced by everyone, member of the H&S committee. Housekeeping set at a high standard. Check that 5S procedures are being followed and sustained.
- Promote lean initiatives and thinking.
- Embrace change and be a change agent as necessary.
- Assist in training, as necessary, with cell team members and thermoforming/CNC tech of new or temporary team members.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Experience:
Marginal Job Functions
- Responsible for handling and cleaning up of Blood Borne Pathogens, according to training provided when the need arises.

Minimum Level of Education/Training Required
Associate degree or equivalent supervisory or leadership experience.
Minimum Experience Required
- 1 - 3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
- Possess an understanding of manufacturing, procurement, production processes, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate people.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving, prioritization, and quantitative skills.
- A basic level pf PC literacy for word processing, spreadsheet development, and graphical display. OR Computer literate and functional use of Microsoft office products.
- Ability to work effectively with representatives from other departments.
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner.
- Ability to be forklift certified.

Eligibility:
