Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer with a specialty in CISCO products to support one of our federal clients enterprise level infrastructure. This candidate will design, plan, install, integrate, and maintain backbone core-area communications networks. As an experienced network engineer, they will translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient for internal and external organizations.
Compensation:
$56hr to $70hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements
* Active DoD Secret clearance
* 5+ years of experience within network engineering
* Expertise in Cisco products (ex. Routers, Switches and Firewalls).
* Able to design, plan, install, integrate and maintain backbone core-area tactical and strategic communications networks, including portions of the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and the Global Information Grid (GIG).
* Gather mission needs statements, operational requirements Capability Development Documents (ORCDD), and Capability Production Documents (CPD) for Army's tactical communications systems and translate requirements into technical solutions that are standards-based and cost efficient
* Develop network architecture for adjacent, higher and lower units, as well as for allied nations, other government agencies and commercial service interfaces
* Knowledge and understanding current/future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems.
* Ability to hold responsibility for the engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Tactical Network.
* Knowledge of Converged Ethernet Over IP (EOIP) network.
Knowledge of virtualization and storage technologies (VMware, EMC, NetApp, Microsoft, Dell, or HP, ect.) * 10+ years of experience within network engineering
* Active Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or higher
* Leadership background null
