Job Summary:
Responsible for greeting visitors and guests as they enter the department. Responsible for efficiently maintaining the general organization, clerical functions and assigned duties. Use good phone skills to answer phones, assist callers, make appointments and take messages. Must always display high level of customer service. Responsible for timely mail outs to prospective customers and existing customers. Will prepare departmental reports, prepare letters and other documents and order supplies. Provide assistance to Department Director and Insurance Sales Representative as needed.
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates aptitude to use proper telephone technique when answering phone, making appointments, and answering questions.
- Demonstrates aptitude to ensure monthly mailings are completed efficiently and timely.
- Demonstrates aptitude to ensure all filing systems, reports, and supplies are handled correctly.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High School Diploma required. Computer and telephone skills required. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Work Experience:
Two years of clerical experience required. Experience in the healthcare or insurance field preferred.
Mental Demands:
Position requires a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, courtesy, tact, diplomacy, and self-direction. Must have the ability to present a positive image. Must have excellent organizational skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
