Security Analyst - Pantheon Data

Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Our service offerings have grown in the past ten years, including infrastructure resiliency, contact center operations, information technology, software engineering, program management, strategic communications, engineering, and cybersecurity. Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall security of information systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cyber security principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with IT teams to implement security measures and best practices, ensuring the security of systems and applications.
• Create, maintain, and update security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and suggest improvements to enhance the organization's security.
• Participate in incident response planning and execute procedures during security breaches.
• Analyzing and responding to security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
• Implementing and managing security software, such as firewalls and encryption programs, to protect systems and data.
• Performing periodic risk assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities.
• Creating and promoting best practices for information security.
• Keeping an eye on network traffic to identify and respond to security incidents in real-time.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Over 3 years of experience in information security, network security, or a related role.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and security information and event management systems (SIEMs) and cloud security.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are advantageous.
• Writing detailed incident response reports and educating stakeholders on security best practices.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location

Hybrid - Arlington, VA.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $91,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
