Our client is seeking a Security Architect V with expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365) and Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions to serve as a Chief Technical Engineer (CTE). This role will focus on the architecture, security, and governance of M365 subscriptions, ICAM solutions, and cloud services, supporting a variety of technical and business initiatives. The position is fully remote but requires candidates to be local to the Washington, D.C. area for occasional in-person meetings. A Public Trust clearance is required, which can be obtained while working.

Primary Responsibilities
- Technical Architecture: Design and architect the implementation of M365, ICAM solutions, and authorized cloud services (including integrations with applications). Lead all planning and design activities while responding to business, security, and governance changes.
- Governance and Compliance: Oversee the Microsoft 365 information governance and compliance capabilities. Lead initiatives related to records management, data retention, and deletion requirements to ensure compliance with regulations. Manage privacy/data breach incidents, forensics, eDiscovery, and audits.
- Zero Trust Security: Implement and manage M-22-09 compliant Zero Trust security frameworks. Ensure adherence to best practices for security and compliance (SP800-53Rev5).
- Collaboration and Innovation: Foster a feedback loop to refine services based on customer insights. Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) to share event data and provide guidance on securing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Device Management: Lead the management of enterprise devices across the organization, ensuring alignment with Zero Trust principles and maintaining security and operational efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in technical roles involving client communications and managing customer-centric solutions.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Endpoint Manager, Configuration Manager, Intune, Purview, Autopilot, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Power Platform.
- Experience with the design, implementation, and governance of ICAM solutions.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as Zero Trust.
- Ability to manage privacy and security risks, including eDiscovery, data holds, and compliance audits.
- US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, adaptability to rapid changes in technology, and experience working with government technical counterparts.
- Expert-level certifications in Microsoft 365 (e.g., MS-100, MS-101).
- Certifications such as ICAM/Okta, ServiceNow ITOM, ITIL, CISSP, or Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS).
- Experience with Zero Trust security frameworks and privacy/data breach management.
- Proven leadership in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Experience with automation, Generative AI, and Copilot solutions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Interview Rounds: Typically 2 rounds, both conducted via phone.
- Interview Panel: Hiring Manager and team members.
- This is a remote position, but the candidate must be local to the Washington, D.C. area to attend onsite meetings as needed. (Must be able to attend occasional onsite meetings in the DC area)
