About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Safeguard government assets, including personnel, information, and property, from unauthorized access, theft, and sabotage.
- Monitor all entry and exit points to classified areas.
- Conduct continuous surveillance to detect and address security threats.
- Implement and manage access control procedures at entry points.
- Issue badges to personnel and visitors after verifying their identity and background.
- Inspect hand-carried items to prevent unauthorized items from entering or leaving the facility.
- Respond to security and safety incidents, assisting employees, visitors, and emergency personnel.
- Cooperate with law enforcement in investigating security breaches.
- Assist in inquiries related to lost or stolen property.
- Monitor and respond to security alarms.
- Monitor fire protection systems and ensure access for emergency responders.
- Address building conditions and alarm systems.
- Report incidents to relevant government personnel and agencies.
- Monitor weather conditions and coordinate snow removal.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Must hold an Active Secret Clearance or be able to obtain one
- Must be able to pass a federal drug screen and background check
- Knowledge and experience using DoD security systems including DISS, NISS, and NCAISS
- Experience working with DoD agencies
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations
- Must be able to handle sensitive information
