Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Dir Product Management to join our Silicon IP team in San Jose. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.
As a DIrector Product Management, the candidate will be reporting to the VP Product Management and is a Full Time position. Security products target a certain security level, performance and certification, but generally target various markets. For most of our customers it is hard to understand the ‘perfect’ security solution based on the end-user requirements. Within this role, you work closely with our customers ina very early stage to discuss Rambus security solutions and with Product Manager, Technical Product Manager and Security Architects to define the roadmap. The position involves close internal interaction with Rambus’ Sales, FAEs, other Product Managers, Engineering Leads and Architects. Experience with system security on asics as well as a strong technical background in asic development is required. The SPM provides consultation to customers how their security needs can best be served with Rambus Silicon IP solutions with a focus to build relationships with product managers at strategic customers, as well as close new dealsto grow revenue.
Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.
Responsibilities:- Find and work with strategic marketing contacts at our customers to support them with their replies on the security requirements, leveraging features and functions.
- Own the relationship with technical decision makers at our key accounts in US.
- Drive strategic design wins to successful repeat business with key customers.
- Drive strategy, narrative, and customer engagements for market segments.
- Discuss and promote Rambus security product integrations with customers based on their market needs
- Work with customers and Rambus Sales & FAEs to analyze, negotiate, and capture market requirements and translate these into Rambus Security IP products.
- Collect requirements through customer engagements and align these with the Silicon IP roadmap directives.
- Explore market and find new product opportunities.
- Work with marketing to align and update market collateral to meet market and lead customer needs.
Main interfaces
- Rambus Internal: Silicon IP Product Management, Sales, FAE, Engineering, Support, Silicon IP Product Marketing and corporate marketing
- 5-10 year experience as product managementor marketing
- Strong understanding of embedded security technology, data center technology and high-performance networking.
- Deep knowledge of the SOC architectures, standards, certifications, protocols and system deployments in the embedded security domain that are used and required in segments such as Networking, AI/ML acceleration, Automotive, Defense, IoT, MCU, and FPGAs in general.
- Strong ability to build relationships with senior leaders at customers and within Rambus.
- Knowledge of challenges in ASIC and FPGA design flows and embedded SW development
- Demonstrate good analysis and problem-solving skills; diligent, detail-oriented approach is must-have.
- Inherent sense of urgency and accountability in all activities.
- Proficient in the commercial aspect of technical customer engagements. Good understanding of commercial aspects in customer facing meetings, during pre-sales, development and post-sales phases. Understanding in detail what semiconductor customers need, how they think, how they plan, how they make decisions, who makes decisions.
- Awareness of the competitive landscape in Secure Silicon IP is a pre. Know what it takes to compete on technical merits.
- Experience with the business aspects of licensing IP technology.
- Over 15 year active in SoC industry
- BS in engineering is a must; MBA preferred.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $182,900.00 to $339,700.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
