Description
The purpose of this position is to provide physical and electronic security to the Evans City facility in support of the facility security program. The security officer is responsible for greeting visitors/contractors and employees, assigning security badges, inspection of incoming vehicles, receiving and moniroting and relaying emergency calls related to the site, and completion of daily/weekly/monthly checks.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Follow all site EHS&S SOPs and programs
- Monitor facility security and life safety systems
- Completion of walking tours of the site to monitor security of the site to report any unusual events
- Inspection of incoming and outgoing vehicles to the site
- Check in and check out all visitors to the site
- Perform weekly and monthly inspections of site fire sprinkler and fire extinguisher program
- Perform daily fugitive emissions checks
- Complete notifications to shipping/receiving for arriving and departing shipments
- Complete all site security paperwork
- Notify the Emergency Coordinator of spills/fires/releases
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Two (2) years experience in the security field (or) Certificate indicating completion of a security course desired
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven history of working well in stressful situations
Educational Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent desired
