Security Officer - Flex - Barbier Security Group

Barbier Security Group(BSG) is currently seeking an experienced Flex Security Officer with open availability for a variety of sites in Marin County. This is not an On Call but rather, a Full Time position. The role of the Flex Security Officer will be high visibility, deterrence, patrols, building checks as well as community engagement and are primarily responsible for perimeter and access control. Our Security Officers will ensure guests and employees feel secure and welcomed everyday. For all our Security Officer positions, we are seeking candidates with exceptional presentation and customer service skills. Schedule: This is a Full-time position requiring Morning, Swing and Grave shift availability. You will be assigned to various client locations as needed. Must be able to work up to 10-hour shifts any day within a 7 day week. Must be available to work weekends!

• Shift: 7 day availability to work Morning, Swing or Grave shift with 24 hour notice (Weekend availability required)  
• Salary: $28.00 per hour

Qualifications:

• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Excellent interpersonal and written skills; bilingual is a plus
• Professional appearance; well groomed with no visible tattoos or piercings
• One year previous security or event staff experience preferred
• Good driving history (3yrs - no suspensions or serious violations) in order to be added to vehicle insurance at applicable sites or for vehicle patrol position
• Desire to pursue police academy, law enforcement, or criminal justice career encouraged
• One year Previous mobile patrol, security officer, or asset protection experience

Requirements:

• Be a minimum of 18 years of age 
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Current Guard Card License * (Vehicle Patrol Requirements)
• Reliable form of transportation
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
• Ensure compliance with company policies and processes
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift on various surfaces (concrete, carpet, etc.)
• Ability to move 50lbs

Security Guard Duties May Include:

• Maintain a detailed on-duty activity log
• Maintain grooming and uniform standards at all times
• Adhere to company standards while interacting with the public, clients, and emergency responders
• Depending on site, guards may be required to operate a company vehicle while patrolling client property
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small group to resolve urgent issues
• Process oriented with high attention to detail, and triage a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision.
• Responding to various reports by customers/tenants at specific sites
