JOB SUMMARY: To maintain a high standard of alertness, responsibility, and confidentiality. Also works well with supervisors under all conditions required by nature of the operation.
Starting Pay: $15.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Punctual and dependable attendance.
- Maintain an acceptable level of AP and Security awareness at assigned store.
- Direct and ensure an orderly shopping environment.
- Directly oversee and monitor merchandise rotations throughout the day to ensure adherence to company purchase and safety policies.
- Raise security awareness and understanding to acceptable level.
- Prepare daily logs, reports and case summaries to document investigations.
- Obtain and analyze information on suspects, crimes, and disturbances in order to solve cases, to identify criminal activity, and to gather information.
- Observe and document activities of individuals in order to detect unlawful acts or to obtain evidence for cases, using still or video cameras.
- Act as a liaison between assigned store management, security, Human Resources, Safety and/or the local police department as appropriate and directed.
- Be familiar with on-site emergency procedures, first aid supplies and equipment.
- Expected to remain vigilant and attentive while on duty.
- Foot patrol & routine check of all doors entering the building is required for some security post.
- Able to act under pressure with a high standard of protection for property & human life.
- Able to work well and professionally with Management when situation arises.
- Ensure proper maintenance of uniforms & maintain a professional appearance.
- Able to follow all security instructions posted on each security location.
- In the absence of his/her supervisor, follows, enforces and provides training to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed. Completes and submits any necessary forms and/or reports immediately, within 2 hours, when an incident occurs.
- Administers First Aid and CPR if required.
- Reviews and is familiar with Goodwill of Central Oklahoma safety policies, programs and procedures and adheres to all safety rules, regulations and safety codes. Attends safety training and meetings and is responsible for reporting accidents or injuries immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED, preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Unarmed Cleet License issue by the State of Oklahoma, required.
- Must pass OSBI/DOC background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
- Ability to speak, read and write the English language.
- Reliable transportation and communication, required.
