About the Job
Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, Police academy, Fire academy or related field such as Security Supervisor, Security Manager or Retired police officer / fire fighter.
Police or law enforcement experience for at least 2 years
Ability to speak, read, write, comprehend, process, interpret follow and carry out instructions spoken in the English language and written in a variety of documents and reference relevant to the job.
Demonstrate problem solving and responsible decision making skills.
Ability to handle and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Skill in performing building security and lockdown procedures.
Knowledge of security codes, policies, and regulations.
Ability to understand, follow, and enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures.
Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
Sufficient verbal skills as required for effective interpersonal communication with clients and other staff.
Possible prolonged and irregular hours and changes in schedule
On-call assignments, as needed, directed by the administration.
Perform any other duties as assigned in support of agency and program needs and operations.

Evenings and weekend work are regularly required for various agency initiatives, program and community activities and events.
