Qualifications:
The Security Operations Manager (SOM) must have a strong background in managing security
operations and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets. Skilled in developing and
implementing security policies, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating security
operations for specific events. The SOM will assist with training and evaluating security officers,
and will be responsible for creating processes, reviewing incident reports, and creating plans for
emergencies.
Available Position: Security Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily security operations to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.
- Coordinate with other departments on security related issues.
- Assist with creating and implementing security policies and procedures.
- Regularly assess risks and vulnerabilities to identify potential security issues.
- Assist with training and evaluating security officers to ensure they are prepared to handle
- security tasks.
- Overseeing the maintenance and performance of security tools and equipment.
- Assist in developing strategic plans to enhance the organization’s overall security posture.
- Generate incident reports.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and perform physical tasks.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs.
- Enforce company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security, with supervisor experience preferred.
- Must have a valid state security guard card.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in emergency situations.
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and/or business, or related field preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of experience managing a security team.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in leadership/management.
- Previous contract security, facilities management, military or law enforcement experience
- preferred.
- An understanding of security operations and Incident Command Systems.
- Strong interpersonal, critical thinking and time management skills.
- A great communicator that gets the value of teamwork.
- Comfortable in an ever changing, fast paced, and stressful environment.
- Able to lead a security team in complex problem solving.
