Lazy River Products, LLC “LRP” is a fully-integrated, state of the art cannabis-based product development company in Dracut, MA. preparing to open a second retail location in Tewksbury, MA.
What we’re looking for:
LRP is in search of part-time Security Personnel as we grow! Reporting to the Security Manager, the Security Personnel will assist Lazy River Products' security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, customers, facilities, and assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of highly regulated environments and strong communication skills.

Job Information:
Title: Security Personnel
Industry: Adult-Use Cannabis (MA)
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Location: Dracut, MA
Schedule: Part-time, 3 shifts/week totaling 20.00 hours/week. Must have ability to work every Saturday or Sunday.
Important Notice: This is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 100% on site
Status: Part-time

Required Job Qualification: Minimum of 2 years of proven security experience in a related field (highly regulated) is required.
Security Personnel Job Description: On-site Security Personnel will assist Lazy River Products' security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets. Security Personnel is also responsible for assisting in all aspects of physical security, loss prevention and protection of company assets and employees at Lazy River Products.
Security Personnel Core Tasks and Responsibilities -
- Oversee and deploy established emergency, safety and security procedures and updates these plans, as necessary.
- Provide feedback to Security Management on any improvements relating to the buildings' safety and security.
- Assist in daily inspection of facility, security cameras, and alarms including perimeter of building.
- Daily maintenance of visitor log and other logs as assigned.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and primary contacts on call list.
- Maintain the integrity of the security system, including codes and functionality.
- Check-in, validate and accompany visitors against manifests.
- Assist managing relationships with 3rd party vendors including building inspectors.
- Monitor clients and employees in all phases of daily routines.
- Write incident reports as needed and communicate concerns to management.
- Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling employees and/or customers.
- Provide support and assistance in a variety of situations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education -
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College Degree preferred but not required.
- Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred.
- Previous law enforcement preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven security experience in a related field (highly regulated) is required.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Authoritative verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Ability to learn the layout of the property and buildings
- Proficiency with Windows 10 and basic computer and internet navigation is required.
- Vertically Integrated Cannabis Facility Work environment.
- Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
- Ability to de-escalate situations effectively
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Holidays are required for this position (with exception of Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day), on the days the schedule falls on.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all legal or company regulation requirements for working in the industry.
