**Responsibilities**
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate **Security Principal Cloud Solution Architect - Critical Infrastructure Protection** to drive customer transformation on the Microsoft Azure Platform to protect both enterprise IoT and OT devices. This is a customer-facing role, owning the overall technical relationship and strategy between the customer and Microsoft. You will own the IoT and OT Security customer engagements, including architecture, implementation, operationalization and production.
The candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success in leading in-depth technical security architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Security Architects, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers to drive the holistic Security conversation as an enabler for Cloud workloads.
+ Operationalize Enterprise Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT) Monitoring and Detection capabilities using Microsoft Defender for IOT
+ Land an end-to-end value prop for Security (i.e. Zero Trust, Modern Security Operations Center (SOC), Cloud Adoption, and Digital Transformation) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings.
+ Empower customers in their Microsoft Security adoption journey, helping them to define a secure strategy, architecture, and implementation of necessary security controls aligned with Microsoft Azure and M365 E5 Security/Compliance Services including ID and Access management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, Information Protection and Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Management.
+ Perform hands-on activities, supporting the customer in evaluating native security solutions in areas such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Network Security, Sentinel, Entra, and Azure Active Directory, among others.
+ Accelerate Business Value of overall Azure adoption by improving security IoT and OT posture.
+ Apply technical knowledge to architect security solutions that meet business, Information Technology, Regulation and Compliance needs, infusing key security technologies where appropriate.
+ Ensure that the solution exhibits "Secure by Design" or "Well-Architected" framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
+ Run Architectural Design Session to build plan for implementing solution - governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. The outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
+ Be the Voice of the Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the roadmap.
+ Trouble shoot technical issues to prove the value of implementation of Azure technologies.
+ Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
+ Orchestrate technical resources that may be required to deliver business outcomes.
+ Assist the Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center (MSTIC) in enriching IoT/OT specific Threat Intelligence.
+ Support the application of US Federal Zero Trust strategies to IoT/OT environments.

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
+ OR equivalent experience.

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations.? As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certification in one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Security Technologies, Cloud Security, OCSP, GIAC Certifications, CCSP Network Security, Incident Response. Professional Experience
+ 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical security sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications.
+ Experience with or passion to learn Microsoft security and identity solutions: Microsoft Defender for Cloud (Including IoT/OT), Microsoft Defender for M365 (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps), Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Information Protection, Application Gateway; Web Application Firewall; Azure Bastion; Azure DDOS Protection; Azure Dedicated HSM; Azure Firewall and Firewall Manager; Azure Front Door; Azure Key Vault/Key Vault HSM Pool/Dedicated HSM; Azure Network Watcher; Kusto Query Language (KQL); Security Automation (Sentinel Playbooks, Azure Workbooks, Jupiter Notebooks, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, and/or Power Automate).
Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
