About the Job
The Security Project Manager is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of moderately-to-highly complex projects, including approval, planning, estimating, execution, and closeout to ensure planned results are successfully achieved in a timely manner. In addition to having excellent leadership skills, the ideal candidate will also possess an extensive background in the security industry.
Requirements
- Supervises and assists with the design, installation, maintenance, documentation of security projects
- Develops and stays within budgets, timelines, and ensures progress to plan, as well as tracks critical project achievements
- Performs surveys, prices new projects, attends meetings and proposes solutions to installation issues
- Manages installation, technical and sub-contract employees
- Directs project scheduling, coordination with trades and financial management
- Manages workers at project sites and assures timely completion of work
- Services new and existing customers and communicates project status to the Senior Project Manager
- Builds and maintains appropriate customer service relationships
- Trains technicians and facilitates learning in the field
- Maintains relations with vendors and customers to establish and achieve goals
- Acts as the single point of contact for project status by maintaining communication with stakeholders
- Manages all assigned projects to completion and ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership
- Provides research and leadership in the development and design of new projects
- Manages project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings, and use of current internal system
- Coordinates with other work streams, projects, and initiatives which may impact successful completion of project
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel while maintaining oversight of those responsibilities
- Ensures all project-related invoicing is done in a timely manner while adhering to the company’s and client’s processes
- Conducts regular project team meetings to address action items and project schedule
- Makes recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under his/her direct supervision
Qualifications/Experience
- 5+ years of installation and field experience
- At least 3 years of Project Management experience
- Capable of reading blueprints and associated building information
- Ability to rapidly understand business objectives and combine them with a deep understanding of project management to create, sell and drive effective solutions
- Strategic thinker and problem solver who has demonstrated a track record of delivering projects within time and budget while meeting and exceeding customer expectations
- Leader who can align, direct, motivate and grow teams and client relationships
Physical Requirements
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
