Security Shift Supervisor - Barbier Security Group

We are interviewing for a Security Supervisor to oversee an upscale Shopping Center in Marin County. The right Security Supervisor candidate will be an experienced Security professional who can oversee that the day to day operations run smoothly for the client, it's employees, and for their customers. A good Security Supervisor candidate will have excellent relationship building and communication skills. The primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor is to ensure the client(s) is provided with high quality services by the team to protect property, it's employees and customers.

Shift: Morning (Wednesday -  Sunday) 

Salary: $26.00 per hour

Security Director Duties Include:

• Supervise a team of uniform guards to ensure shifts are covered, timekeeping is adhered to
• Coaching and developing teams: Ensure team is knowledgeable of the site and understand of response protocol while minimizing liability. Develop staff through performance management (recognition, coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations and reviews)
• Train agents on Post Orders, ensure all reporting and compliance requirements are met by Guards
• Provide input to various tasks to include security planning, revision of Post Orders, and loss reports
• Safely operate a company vehicle on site property
• Reports any loss, accident or injury or safety violations following established notification policy
• Make recommendations to policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the client's personnel, buildings and fixtures
• Respond to conflicts, medical, and operational emergencies, or natural disasters in an efficient manner
• Fills out incident reports as needed
• Reviews and audits team reports for accuracy and compliance to report writing and evidence standards
• Ensure team maintains grooming and uniform standards at all times
• Ensure team adhere to company standards while interacting with the public, clients, and emergency responders
• Leads by example at all times
• Regularly meets with management and client representatives to review program status and address perceived problems
• Safeguards confidential information and property to include phone lists, schedules, keys, access control, credit cards, lost and found, and all equipment related to the position
• Notifies and keeps management informed of emergencies and unusual circumstances
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• Eligibility to work in the United States
• Excellent interpersonal and written skills; bilingual is a plus
• Professional appearance; well groomed with no visible tattoos or piercings
• Ability to stand or walk for the majority of shift on various surfaces (concrete, carpet etc..)
• Two years previous security Supervisor or Director experience managing teams/projects preferred
• Process-oriented with high attention to detail, and triage a problem quickly providing precise/clear information while working under minimum supervision
• Ability to drive a company vehicle and be insured : Current drivers license, clean driving record, driving for at least 3 years

Requirements:

• Be a minimum of 18 years of age
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 2 years experience Supervising teams
• Current Guard Card License and Driver's License
• Reliable form of transportation
• Basic computer and smartphone proficiency
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift on various surfaces (concrete, carpet, etc.)
• Ability to move 50 lbs
