Position Summary
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent guest service
- Follow department and property policies and procedures
- Coach, lead, mentor, and develop team members for performance
- Assist the Shift Manager in the supervision of all security officers on the designated shift
- Conduct daily inspections of the officers and brief the officers as necessary
- Assist in the scheduling of all staff to meet the needs of the casino on a daily basis and include scheduling for all events and holidays
- Assist the Shift Manager during verification of all reports to ensure completeness and accuracy. Assist in training all officers in report writing skills
- Train all officers on policies and procedures as directed by internal controls
- Document all training activities and schedule officers for more training as needed
- Conduct security training on a bi-weekly basis on internal control procedures
- Acquire knowledge and ensure compliance of Codes of State Regulation, Minimum Internal Control Standards, Ameristar Internal Controls, Federal and State laws and Company and Property policies and procedures
- Prepare detailed reports on any security related incidents occurring on company property
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Must be able to exercise good judgment in making independent decisions in security and team member/ guest related issues.

- Ability to take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with team member/ guest relations issues.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 21 years of age at time of application.
- Physically capable of performing the functions of the position.
- Acceptable to licensure by the Missouri Gaming Commission.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to communicate, understand and write English.
- Data entry/computer skills/ ability to type 20 words per minute is required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to react quickly and accurately under demanding high stress conditions
- Be willing to work under changing schedules to adjust for fluctuating business demands
- Work any shift to include evenings, holidays and weekends in a 24/7 casino environment
- This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty
Required Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior security experience, preferred but not required
