Summary:
This position is assigned to the Worldwide Protective Services Division, Office of Overseas Protective Operations, International Program Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/IP/OPO/WPS).
In this position, you will serve as a Desk Officer with responsibility for providing policy guidance and management oversight of local guard, surveillance detection, and personal protective security programs that provide security for U.S. government employees and dependents at overseas post.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience planning and conducting Program Management Reviews.
- Experience recommending methods for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of security programs.
- Experience preparing financial plans and projecting financial needs based on resource trends and availability.
- Experience analyzing and evaluating methods and practices to conduct Program Management Reviews to assess the viability of security programs and identify vulnerabilities.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
