Summary:
This position is located in the International Programs Directorate (IP) Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State (DoS), Rosslyn, VA. In this position, you will serve a Regional Desk Officer providing senior level policy and program support to DS/IP management and the Regional Security Offices (RSOs) at posts in the assigned region.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience analyzing operations, procedures, and policies to identify weaknesses and deficiencies, and recommends methods of improvement.
- Experience planning and leading on-site inspections and reviews of security operations.
- Experience developing various types of written documentation and presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
