Summary:
This position is located in the High Threat Program Directorate, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Department of State, Iraq.
In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert who provides oversight, specialized support, and training in the safe handling and removal of conventional and unconventional unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, and explosive hazards.

This is a non-status, non-permanent Personal Service Contract (PSC) position. PSC’s do not acquire a competitive or excepted service status from this position. Contract is 1 year; renewable up to 4 years.

Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience handling and removing conventional and unconventional unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, and explosive hazards.
- Experience Identifying and assessing device condition and any potential chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threat.
- Experience in the handling and removal of explosive disposal and hazards in overseas high threat locations.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
