About the Job
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Execute or assist in enforcing physical security regulations and procedures.
- Execute instructions and procedures primarily oriented to prevent security violations; and, if violations are discovered, reported in the appropriately proper and timely manner.
- Greet visitors professionally and politely, determine if they and their organizations have fulfilled RTC's requirements to enable the visits, obtain accepted forms of their identification, issue visitor badges, and coordinate their rendezvous with their sponsors or escorts.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized records of visitors and visit requests, and perform such other clerical work associated with visitor control and physical security.
- Assist sponsors of planned future visitors in digitally submitting and routing documentation necessary to enable visit.
- Assist enabling and disabling employees' and visitors' physical access to controlled areas and facilities, primarily via electronic security systems (ESSs) that control gates and doors.
- Assist in administering the key control program.
- Exercise swift judgment, discretion, and action in incidents and emergencies.
- Assist in developing and executing Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAMs).
- Assist in physical security and risk vulnerability inspections.
- Assist in evaluating local security policies, procedures, practices, and standards for adequacy in meeting requirements and mitigating risks; make corresponding recommendations and reports.
- Train and assist other employees who have collateral responsibilities for physical security tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed HS/GED.
- Shall have five (5) years experience directly related to industrial, information, physical and operational security.
- Shall have experience with DOD security publications and regulations and have experience in drafting policies and procedure from Government security regulations, for application at the organization level.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
