Security Specialist - ASRC Federal Holding Company

ASRC Federal, Mission Solutions (AFMS) is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems.

We are seeking a motivated entry level Security Specialist to support the Security Department in administering a comprehensive security program for the protection of classified information, and the protection of personnel, facilities, and assets.

Key Role:

* Assist Facility Security Officer (FSO) with overall security program management and NISPOM compliance

* Manage personnel security clearances for new hires and periodic reinvestigations using DoD's JPAS/DISS and e-QIP Systems

* Provide training, orientation, briefings/debriefings, awareness training for employees/subcontractors

* Maintain, process, coordinate incoming and outgoing visit requests

* Maintain, and monitor access control, high security locks, and closed circuit cameras

* Assist FSO with self- inspection and reviews of security processes

* Establish and maintain working relationships with government and internal customers

* Provide a wide variety of duties in the administration of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government security requirements

Qualifications:

* Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a DoD Security Clearance (minimium Secret Clearance).

* Associate degree or security related experience in a DoD environment.

* Must be able to respond to after-hours alarms or emergencies

* Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills

* Must have strong written and oral communication skills

* Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Ability to work in a complex environment, while prioritizing work and meeting deadlines
