The Security Specialist - Program Protection - Senior shall provide general security support. This includes performing activities related to security standard discipline management and support. The following duties and responsibilities are intended to provide maximum flexibility and support and include, but are not limited to the following:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide Program Protection Support.
- The Security Specialist - Program Protection - Senior drafts, develops, and tracks the review/coordination of Program Protection Plan (PPP) documentation.
- Coordinate with Program SMEs to develop and identify Critical Program information, Critical Components, and Critical Functions along with countermeasures to be employed for documentation within the Program Protection Plan (PPP).
- Review all facets of the Program Protection Plan (PPP) no less than biannually for effectiveness and efficiency and provide recommended enhancements to Government security leads.
- Conduct site visits to determine the degree of implementation and the effectiveness of the Program Protection Plan (PPP).
- The Security Specialist - Program Protection - Senior provides guidance and recommendations based on best practices to increase the security posture and solicit feedback from the site.
- Assist Government security leads with tasks related to the Observables, Identification, and Containment (OI&C) Working Group.
- Reviewing and recommending technology protection measures throughout all phases of the F-35's lifecycle.
- Review and evaluate Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIP) for effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
- Coordinate with the appropriate organization(s) to document, implement, and monitor horizontal protection measures for the Critical Program Information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Must have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all functional duties independently.
Minimum/General Experience:
- Active DOD Top Secret Security Clearance.
- 10 years of experience performing work related to the description.
- Master's Degree in the stated discipline, OR,
- Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years additional work experience related to the description, may be substituted for a master's degree.
