Summary:
Seeking a passionate and skilled Seibi Technician to join our Production Engineering Stamping Department. As part of a 6-member team, you'll interact daily with Engineers, Vendors, Contractors, and various departments to ensure high-quality vehicle body shell sub-assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control Sub-Assembly Accuracy and Equipment Function
- Perform Die Set-up, pneumatic and electrical setups
- Handle automation tasks, robot teaching, and installations
- Assist in standard work document creation and verification
- Conduct hemming quality analysis and implement countermeasures
- Ensure quality of hem dies and equipment from North American vendors
- Perform hem die functionality confirmation, tuning, and repair
- Analyze body panels for surface quality defects
- Support vehicle sub-assembly measurement during trials
- Investigate and resolve mass production problems at NAMCs
Requirements:
- Technical degree or 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in measurement technologies (Faro, Client, CMM, Vectoron, etc.)
- Experience with at least one CAD system (AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360, Catia, or Solidworks)
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (preferred)
- Willingness to work hands-on (welding, grinding, polishing, etc.)
- Ability to work overtime (25%, including weekends)
- Willingness to travel (50% to NAMs)
- Describe your experience with measurement technologies such as Faro, Client, CMM, or Vectoron. How have you applied these in your previous roles to ensure product quality?
