Job Title:  Selector, Freezer Intro

Location:  McDonough, GA

Overview: 

Operates an electric pallet jack and/or forklift to select products from warehouse pick locations using Vocollect (voice command) system.  Responsible for accurately labeling and palletizing product as it is selected, building custom orders, and transporting the selected product to appropriate outbound dock staging area in a safe and efficient manner.  This position requires working in environments with variation in temperature and humidity (e.g., Dry, Cooler and Freezer areas). 

Compensation:  $20.50 per hour

Schedule:  8am Start time - 5-day work week MUST be able to work Sunday’s.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. 1. Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to accurately and safely hand select orders within various warehouse temperature environments: Dry (ambient temps), Cooler (34 degrees), and Freezer (-10 degrees).
   2. Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper operating procedures.
   3. Stage pallets for loading at an assigned outbound dock location.
   4. Maintain established selection rates per temperature zones.
   5. Shrink-wrap product to secure load for transit.
   6. Perform daily safety inspections on material handling equipment.
   7. Safely operate all equipment utilized to perform tasks associated with role.
   8. Immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
   9. Attend all required Company meetings.
   10. Follow NDCP’s Good Distribution Practices.
   11. Cross train and perform other duties such as loading, receiving and replenishment, as assigned.
   12. Maintain Company standards for attendance and conduct.

Qualifications & Skills

1. 1. High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
   2. Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures preferred
   3. Ability to repeatly lift up to 55 lbs
   4. Basic knowledge of food handling regulations preferred
   5. Electric Pallet Jack experience preferred
   6. Proficient with Voice Picking and Vocollect experience preferred
   7. Forklift experience preferred
   8. RF Gun experience preferred
   9. Desire and ability to work in a collaborative work environment
   10. Ability and willingness to work flexible days and hours
