Yaskawa is currently seeking a Semi Robot Aftermarket Engineer to provide aftermarket engineering and technical assistance on Yaskawa Semi Robot products and systems.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Support new and existing Semi Robot installations including start-up and commissioning and provide field service.
- Travel as directed by customers’ needs on assigned field service calls. Work weekends, off-shift, and holidays as necessary per customer requirements. Approximately 25% travel subject to growth of installation base.
- Support the Semi Robot Repair operations by executing incoming inspection, evaluation, identification of repair parts and labor, product repair, testing, and related documentation.
- Perform Failure Analysis on Semi Robot products and complete supporting documentation.
- Provide telephone support for current and legacy Yaskawa Semi Robot products based upon product knowledge.
- Engineer, test, and execute retrofit solutions. Supply standard system documentation, testing, diagnosis and field modifications when required. As new products and retrofit solutions are introduced, provide customers with appropriate migration paths and support.
- Prepare customer proposals for field retrofit projects, extended warranty contracts, spare parts, or product training to be held at Yaskawa facilities or at the customer site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSME or BSEE or BSEET or equivalent electro-mechanical degree preferred, or equivalent military/technical training, or equivalent work experience acceptable.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering or service experience on automation products including Semi Robot manipulators, controllers, Pre-Aligners, motion control products, PLCs, Motion Controllers, and HMIs preferred.
- Automation project experience with a controls focus is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with common automation communication networks is desirable.
- Ability to comprehend more complex applications pertaining to Semiconductor Systems.
- Detailed working knowledge of electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and the ability to diagnose electronic circuits.
- Mechanical hands-on experience is required with the ability to understand mechanical drawings and troubleshoot and diagnose pneumatic circuit issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities including technical writing and presentation skills, highly organized with strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrate product knowledge at a Semi Robot Aftermarket Engineer level using the TSG Associate Skills Report matrix for current and legacy Yaskawa products. Obtain Yaskawa MSC certification (Motion) on current Yaskawa products.
- Valid driver’s license and able to qualify for a U.S. passport.
