Responsibilities:
Join the R&D team in the Keysight Labs High Frequency Technology Center to develop, model, and characterize new transistor and electronic device technologies. The work contributes meaningfully to the manufacture of the compound semiconductor IC’s driving Keysight’s multi-billion-dollar electronic test and measurement business. This is a hands-on engineering role bridging technology and device engineering.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Characterizing and modeling RF devices including III-V HBTs, HEMTs, and diodes.
- Designing processes and layouts to optimize RF device performance and reliability.
Qualifications
This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. Under these laws and regulations, U.S. persons (which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees) working for Keysight can access export-controlled items without authorization from the U.S. government. For any individual who is not a U.S. person, Keysight may need authorization from the U.S. Department of State, U.S. Department of Commerce, or other appropriate federal agency before the individual can access export-controlled items. Employment in this position for non-U.S. persons is contingent on Keysight’s ability to obtain any required government authorizations.
- Pursuing a Ph.D. or similar degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a similar field
- Candidates should have experiences in III-V device physics and characterization
- Knowledge of RF transistors (HBT, HEMT) is desired
- Candidates must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions.
- Strong accountability, self-initiative and proactive attitude are required

Santa Rosa Pay Range: MIN $49.83 - MAX $65.16 an hour
