Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing, tracking, and recording payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This position will oversee various vendor accounts and review and record their respective invoices for accuracy. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also assist the accounting team with various reconciliations, invoices, expense reports, and month-end close.
Responsibilities
Work Performed and Job Requirements
- Manages accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and vendor management.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all accounts payable transactions.
- Communicates with vendors to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
- Reconciles accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Assists with month-end close processes and provide support for audits.
- Processes employee expense reports and verify compliance with company policies.
- Manages reconciliations of multiple credit card accounts.
- Processes payments by check, wire, direct debit, etc.
- Assists with ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Experience
1 year of experience in accounts payable and/or general accounting w/in skilled nursing industry required. Knowledge of automated AP systems and Sage Intacct strongly preferred.

- Knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and recording skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities with conflicting deadlines and manage time well.
- Demonstrates initiative.
- Ability to learn new systems and work well with a team.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
