Senior Accountant - $85,000-95,000+bonus - Thrive Financial Recruiting

Growing company in the real estate industry is seeking a senior accountant.

The Senior Accountant provides accounting analysis and month end support including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and analysis of financial results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare intercompany reconcilations
• Maintain chart of accounts
• Perform variance analysis on certain accounts
• Prepare general ledger journal entries
• Identify and implement continual improvements
• Book interest and accruals
• Ensure that work is done in accordance with various internal control requirements and appropriate documentation is maintained
• Ensure that transactions are booked in compliance with US GAAP and are complete and accurate

Education Required:

• Bachelor in Accounting
• CPA required (or studying towards)

Experience/Specific Knowledge

• 2 plus years of accounting experience - public accounting experience preferred
• Fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently
• Dependable, flexible, organized, multitasking individual with a great work ethic and a drive to make processes more efficient
