Senior Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing

Our client, a respected privately-held and prominent company in the Baltimore/DC area, is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely while providing an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a collaborative, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will live in the greater Baltimore/DC/VA or PA area. This position will report to the VP of Finance. It is a full-time, remote position with up to 5% travel to local office.

Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

• Take a Business Partner approach to accounting, providing recommendations, insights and proactive reviews based on business needs in a multi-entity consolidation with an expert lens for accounting principles and practices.
• Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes.
• Assist with other finance related matters as required

Senior Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting or combination of public+private
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Highly organized and flexible.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt messages to various audiences
