Senior Accountant - BGS Accounting Policy - KRISTIN MCBRIDE

Focus Search LLC is recruiting for a Senior Technical Accountant position with global Fortune 500 company in the Chicago area. This role involves working closely with finance and accounting teams as well as external and internal auditors. The role focuses on technical accounting tasks, including research, policy development, and issue resolution in a complex environment. Key duties include serving as a primary liaison to finance teams, evaluating complex transactions related to revenue recognition, inventory, and impairment risks, and supporting corporate development activities. The position requires a deep understanding of US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and involves writing whitepapers and providing guidance on new and existing accounting issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, CPA preferred
• 4+ years of Big4 audit/accounting advisory experience
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and Accounting Policy
• Strong communication and presentation skills
