Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
Budget Management: Collaborate with program managers to develop and monitor departmental budgets. Provide insights and reports on budget variances.
General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process. Prepare necessary documentation and respond to auditor inquiries.
Grants Management: Track and report on grant funding and expenditures. Ensure compliance with grant requirements and proper allocation of funds.
Financial Policies: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making. Provide insights to management on financial trends and forecasts.
Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure adherence to all financial and reporting compliance requirements.
