Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will engage in various aspects of retail accounting, contributing to critical business processes and financial accuracy, including:
- Inventory & Cost Management: Record monthly journal entries for cost of sales, sales, inventory shrink, and accruals.
- Reconciliations & Reporting: Prepare reconciliations for multiple accounts and present monthly reporting and analysis to management.
- Profitability & Shrink Analysis: Conduct profitability analysis, delivering insightful reports on inventory results.
- Forecast Analysis: Assist with trend analysis, comparing actuals to budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and variances.
- Special Projects: Tackle ad hoc projects, providing valuable support across various retail accounting processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required); CPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to inventory cost accounting.
- Technical Skills: Experience with large accounting systems (e.g., Lawson, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, self-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
